Myriam Laroche

“Myriam Laroche is the founder and president of Eco Fashion Week (EFW), International sustainable fashion event. After 15 years working in the Apporel & Textile Industry, she moved to Vancouver and changed her path to find ways in which to develop a less wasteful, and more responsible industry in all aspects including design, manufacturing, distribution and consumption.  Since 2010, she has brought to life, 12 seasons of Eco Fashion Week in Vancouver, Seattle and Toronto. Laroche has also provided mentorship for the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE), Simon Fraser University´s Beedie School of Business in Circular Economy and Fashion Revolution Québec. Myriam continues to find ways in which we can improve the industry, working with retailers in building their eco-transparency plan.  In addition, she continues to work on solutions to decrease textile waste and create way of reusing, recycling & upcycling with brands like Value Village/savers and Leverage Lab”.
